How to do a Ollie!

It took me 5 WEEKS to get the ollie right. I EVEN QUIT SKATING i got so mad, but that was a big mistake, if you decide to stop skating for a while, you will practically forget how to stand on the board. Dont GIVE UP!!! it is so worth it, now i can ollie down a 4 set!!! IT IS AMAZING Wat an ollie can let you do while you are skating, but dont go to a skatepark unless you can do an ollie, or a kickflip, cuz all of the gerks will call u a poser, trust me, i would know. Ok now u heard what i did now i will tell you how to ollie u place ur back foot on the tail. Then place ur front foot a little over half way pont of the board. Then u put presure on the tail with ur back foot once u feel of hear the tail snap off the ground u slide ur front foot up then when ur in the air geet ur feet over the trucks and catch it.

conquering fear when skateboarding!

Conquering your fear is a huge part of skateboarding. Rolling along on a small wobbly plank of wood, doing tricks and trying not to eat pavement - it can and should be scary.

Yes, I said it should be scary. You can get hurt skateboarding. Your fear comes from you being aware of that fact. So, it's a good thing. It shows that you aren't stupid! But, it's only a good thing to a point. Once you understand that you might get hurt, and once you have a healthy respect for what you are doing, continuing being afraid only holds you back.

A lot of the time, fear in skateboarding comes from pushing yourself too hard. Maybe you just bought your skateboard last week, and today you're trying to jump off a ramp. If you are scared, well, that might mean that it's a little too soon for you to try jumps. Take your time with skateboarding - learn at your own speed.Being relaxed and loose will help your skateboarding in so many ways. Relax, breathe, and learn at your own pace.
